Well here's a holiday treat! Graven releases a killer album in time for the north American, "holidays".
With Graven, producing an  amalgamation of both Death Metal,  and a more modern take on Sludge, metal, the band offers just enough grit to appeal to some pessimists that don't want one subgenre mixed with the other. This LP is a killer,  teeth cutting,  haunted ball of issues,  for lack of a lesser word.(love those euphemisms).
Heirs Of Discord,(aptly named), drives home a killer release, the music is tight, my roommate closed my bedroom door while playing this,... passing the negative reaction factor, all pointing to a killer album with huge chops. go ahead and buy a copy...but don't trust me.

1914 The Blind Leading The Blind

This blog is a music history diary
To keep track of the music I collect. You see, I collect about 30 albums every five days or so.
Roughly...
I barely feel like posting on it mostly, but when I ran into 1914's new album, 'The Blind Leading The Blind', I tuned it out....pun intended. It sounded like black metal .I don't fucking like black metal as a whole,  I have tolerance for 3 or 4 bands, but it just doesn't fit in my prison wallet, so to say. A place where I would gladly put black metal as a whole to drive home my detestation for it.
To my dismay, black metal as a genre is starting to ,"MELD", with hardcore, death metal, stoner rock, ambient atmospheric, Doom metal,  and Probably dubstep, for all I fucking care.
HOWEVER...
I began popping in this disc for shits and giggles...and as I have been listening to it, this LP has grown on me.(what have I become!!??).It's grown on me to the point of needing to pop it in 2 or three times every morning. It has cast a shadow on my other collecting habits, and is steadily becoming my #1 release of 2018.
I feel it is similar to famed all time classic albums. Slayers Reign In Blood, and Pig Destroyers,' Prowler', album, and also to name, the  Godflesh classic, 'Streetcleaner', and 'Wolverine Blues' ,by Entombed.
This is a dangerous thing to say, too bold to compare, 'The Blind Leading The Blind'
is going to go down in history with these classics?! Yes. The album Art is A curious culmination to view, and the LP name is a fitting title in conspiracy with the art visually as well as the audio. Great Production and engineering mix just makes this LP a furious perfection.
So if you disagree, prove me wrong...buy it and spin it.Betcha you'll agree!

sincerely with love,

Oh BOY!!
I stumbled up on Heel Turn on bandcamp a couple of days ago, and was thrilled with an intro that made me giggle, and the music that came later,...well...maybe not music. I think the Heel Turn is somewhere in the shadow of angry, furious hardcore and noise.
It's pissed off, and a good soundtrack to a bloody bludgeoning of heavy. It's good for some listeners whom might deserve a good smack in the face. The world isn't pretty, so here's your wake up call.
Heel Turn.
now get out there and purchase a copy!!
Oh, and find your own link! It's good for ya!

I uh,...I know for north amaricans that election time is near and it makes me want to die.So enjoy Hellnight tonight and shut off your televisions tomorrow.Or, simply reach for other means of escape to avoid the political filth that is known as midterm elelections.

Hank VonDoom - Egomania

More than a few years ago, Turbonegro released an album that had a different vocalist onboard.
Forgive me for not being too impressed. The band rocked, but missing Hank VonDoom, was as difficult as when the Accused made and album without Blain Fart on vocals, it simply killed the band. Bad idea, bad, bad, bad.
Story over.
So I was very doubtful upon seeing Hanks new solo album Egomania. But in my eyes (ears)
this sounds like Turbonegro more than Turbonegro does...excuse the redundancy.
Check out the long video here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08lxCVQMxxA
it rocks!
Nuff said!

helms creeper track makes the botulist from a chuckle...

Well as of recent, the band Helm wandered into my short attention span.
The track called Creeper, has a very funny recording of a fella who takes a potent weed hit and if you've smoked good weed, you know why he sounds the way he does. I start to snicker.
HOWEVER,the track the recording introduces is what I call a  head crushing sludge dirge.
Following in the mold that Dopethrone, Buzzoven, and Bongzilla cast back in the day, you'll find that Helm delivers their own sludge sound without restraint. This brings me to their earlier release, a bit more of a controlled sound that incorporates a stereotypically "stoner rock", feel to it but with a punch to boot.. buy on bandcamp,
find your own !@#$%I! way! you don't need a link!
love and affection,
Floyd.
