Owain - Acrid

Owain is easily my one of my favorite albums of last year.Why? Well for its purity. A discerning listener could label this as stoner sludge...similar to Blind Dog, or Zoroaster. Anyway you slice this release, it is pure sludge.Easy and pleasing to the fans of sludge in its own right 
                                           check um on bandcamp! highly recommended!

You may think me a jest when I use these, euphemistic, comparisons to other bands, and i mean no offense to any band,so,what the hell...This new 2018 self titled Hashteroid LP has a split sound,I hear modern Melvins riffage mixed with a bit of Hellacopters energy.Their last release titled,'Respect The Depths",was a big success with fans I ran into upon discovering this latter release.
The new self titled LP is a major injection of adrenalin and boogie, with inventive riffs, & guitar licks, producing strength in writing,thus allowing the listener a full appreciation of every track, for it's individuality.

I Am The Liquor - Days Of Smoke

This rifferian , heavy slab of wax came out sometime in 2017.I Am The Liquor deliver a duo-phonic grindstone of guitar as a sturdy backbone to each track in a mildy influenced, sabbathesque slang.

Every track is mustered right down to the marrow- heavy.The vocalist has a decent clear tone & aware sound, adding to the already righteous tracks..An excellent well- rounded album. Check em' out on bandcamp!(it rocketh )

                      

Wolfking - Loyal To The Soil

OH BOY!!
Here lies a killer band that will completely ruin your neighbors day. They have the chops to 
make you want to crosscheck joggers on the most popular jogging path in the city!!
Wolfking incorporate elements of bands like Converge, and,Cursed. Toss in guitar structures 
that get choppy timing changes, and you will find a unique ,bitter addition to your collection of seething contempt.(your collection).   ahem.

Now if you are used to reading the name of the band and listening to lyrics,

this little gem is not for you. There is a compressed heavy as hell base, THROBBING...blast beats that make you want to throw away the past Carcass albums that you thought were so peachy keen from the past .I personally bought a copy.
